Jim Collis

Jim is a Founding Partner of Seaport and is Co-Chairman of the Seaport Investment Committee. Jim assists in formulating Seaport’s investment strategy and process and works with portfolio companies post-investment.

Prior to co–founding Seaport, Jim was a Principal of Chase Capital, where he completed several investments in the wireless communications and chemical industries. Jim has worked closely with Bill Luby since 1991, first as an Associate and later as a Vice President in the Merchant Banking Group at Chase. Prior to joining Chase, Jim was a senior project engineer at National TeleConsultants, specializing in the design of electronic systems for video and audio production facilities used in the broadcast television, radio and cable television industries.

Jim received an MBA from the Columbia Business School and a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
